Kim DeCosta has been playing keyboards and singing lead vocals in various bands around the Grand Strand for the last 15 years.
In recent years, Kim was the keyboardist and lead vocalist with Sunburst Radio. Her musical influences include Heart, Stevie Nicks and Sheryl Crow.
Besides being co-bandleader of Spellbound, Kim is also one half of the musical duo, FLIRT!, and can be found performing shows all along the Grand Strand.
Her passion for music, musical performance, amazing vocal skills and connection with audiences are always a delight and at the forefront of Spellbound.
Never one to shy away from leaving it all on stage, Kim Decosta is the consummate entertainer and one you don’t want to miss!
Co-band leader, bassist and vocalist Bobby Bush hails from the Washington, DC and Maryland area. Bobby is a music pro with 40+ years experience in all aspects of the of the music business. His music education includes time at Berklee College of Music in Boston and Towson State University in Maryland. Bobby is also a Certified Audio Recording Engineer and an active member of ASCAP.
As a studio musician, Bobby Bush has numerous album / CD credits, work on well over 100 radio and TV commercials and numerous appearances as a bassist with a variety of well-known national artists in Latin-Jazz, Funk, R&B and Gospel music including Tim Eyerman and East Coast Offering, Gerry Gordon, Ms. Carol Channing, Marty McCall of First Call, the Gettys (Ireland), the Blackbyrds, and the late Michael Hedges, as well as many 50s & 60s Motown artists.
Besides being an “on call” bassist / vocalist for several tribute shows, he can frequently be found appearing with certain local bands, EEB and other regional artists, as well as the occasional national tour.
Mike Love has been a working musician around the grand strand for a number of years now, but before his move to South Carolina, Mike was a well known guitarist / vocalist around the D.C. Baltimore and Annapolis areas.
Mike Love’s musical background includes well known work with Vinnie DePaul from Crack the Sky and Rob Fahey and David Bell from The Ravyns. Mike also played in "Word of Mouth" and "The Shades”, to name but a few well known bands from the DMV.
Besides being an integral part of Spellbound, Mike Love’s guitar work and vocals can also be heard around the local area with “The Outfit”, and occasionally with other well known local artists.
Originally from Chicago, Dave Maffris studied classical music at the Northwestern University School of Music. He eventually spent time studying jazz and blues with Alan Swain. In 1978, Dave moved to Boston and studied with renowned jazz pianist, Dick Odgren.
Dave can frequently be seen playing solo jazz piano, as a keyboardist with local jazz quartet Burning Bridges

His recording studio and work as a recording engineer has produced a number of recordings of original contemporary jazz instrumentals, as well as recordings for other local performing artists. For more info, go here: http://daveintheshed.com/
Dave’s musical style includes many genres, with his work having been compared to such notable pianist/composers as Bob James, Chick Core and Herbie Hancock, as well as music from a number of contemporary jazz artists.
His latest career pathway finds Dave Maffris composing film & TV music. Spellbound is of course thrilled to add Dave on keyboards to the band!
Cliff Hackford has been playing professionally since age 15, and has studied with jazz great Elvin Jones as well as internationally known Tabla Master Samir Chatterjee.
Cliff has played and recorded with Sam the Sham and the Pharaohs, Matt Guitar Murphy, Ak-47, CadillacMoon, Vicki Sue Robinson, the Drifters, Clark Terry, the Shirelles, Marcia Griffith, Arlen Roth, the Coasters, the Marvelettes, the Chiffons, Sonic Bliss Kirtan and many other artists.
Besides being a part of Spellbound, Cliff Hackford can be seen locally with EEB, Kid Drew, as well as other well known local artists.
